With GrantWeave, you can work on hypothetical scenarios, such as planning staff allocation for a new grant proposal, or visualizing how staff salary increases might impact your grant budgets, without messing up your current, live data.

When you open GrantWeave, you’ll see a “Live Data” button on the left side of the menu bar. You can use this menu to create and manage scenarios.

Creating a new scenario allocates a fresh work space for you to play with hypotheticals.

As long as this “Community Habitat Grant Proposal” is activated, you can make any speculative changes that you want, while keeping those changes isolated to this scenario.

For example, you might create a new “Community Habitat Grant”, and assign some of your staff’s time to this grant.

And you could adjust some staff salaries, and promote your Program Manager to a Senior Program Manager.

When this grant proposal is ultimately successful, and you want to make it official, you can return to the scenarios menu to “Apply” it to your live data.

This screen shows you exactly what’s been changed in the scenario, including changes to grants, staff, and staff assignments. You can deselect specific changes if you’re not quite ready to push the whole thing live.

It’s simple to create new scenarios and jump between them, so you can do speculative work without worrying about corrupting your critical data.

If you’d like to see how GrantWeave can help you plan for staff allocation to grant-funded programs, give it a try for free!
